Not just an experience for me, but a taste to other's of who I am. Hoping this is a time for us to be able to connect and understand each other where so much has been left off and unsaid.

Down there- near the 4- corners Area to the west of it for about 100 miles, I will be there to make green things show up and wet down the place for all those thirsty people, animals, and plants.

The water down there is very alkaline and the San Juan river is about as gross as rivers can get. 40% of the Navajo down there have no water what so ever for their once main-stay trade of sheparding. Nearly all of them have entirely abandoned the practice of agriculture, but some how they need to be converted to the idea of some self sufficiency which the governments constant dumping of money, along with beer and sodas has led to a huge deterioration of those critical essentials. They have houses spread all through out the land in the most desolate and barren of places, and some how, they all need water. That is my job--- oh yeah.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4034070283331513885.post-87615446798365638622009-04-19T15:46:00.000-07:002009-04-19T15:56:37.503-07:00Up-date on the American Alchemy ProjectSomething better than a grant? how about someone who will help you do it for free and do a real professional job?

I have found some one now with about 12 years of video editing experience!

He wants to do this pretty much for free as we have like minds on accomplishing something. But God provides things to those that seek for the answers.

I have received an idea that has taken time to evolve into something that makes even remote sense, but it has at last become clear to my mind. I have sent the past six month obsessing over an idea that can help the world as far as maertial exploitation, consumerism, ans waste has its hackle with recycling obstacles.

A new program has been set up on Microsoft PowerPoint tha will soon be made into a film production. I go into depth touching upon flaws in the recycling industry and how it can be made into a real-to-life fully functioning industry that promotes all recycling and reuse in every field of material products. If this can get off the ground I would consider it the greatest world acheivement in economics, resource management, sustainable development, and care for our earth in accepting our human presence upon it.

Today is the day I show my first small appearance to a small audience who are of interest to get a grant to make the film production for this program.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4034070283331513885.post-89968930658638630572009-03-19T02:15:00.000-07:002009-03-19T02:18:01.150-07:00Mom Enters the RingSo when the rest of you bloggers wake up (we finished 3:30 am) you can know that we have been diligently making an effort to stay in touch with you all.

I had the most fun trying to get a picture for mom posted up. Grandmother had the great futune of being one to weigh heavily upon my very own name, and I am ever glad that she had. Between Book of Mormon and Biblical characters and meanings, I may have been named Moroni ---[Something]--- Thompson. Mary Jean had the foresight to comprehend what so many others in todays world view would only find odd or an opportinity for ridicule and hoped that my name would be different. Living in Salem, the capital of Oregon, was excited when mother had my name fit perfect: Salem Moroni Thompson. For influence great or small, I am gald that Grandmother's hopes were found. My many thanks to you and mother as I have never regreted the name and feel it to give me something as a meaning to live for in life.

Naming, however, has only been the beginning of a long string of influence and development for me and my family under her son, and my father, Brooks Thompson. For a long part of life, Newt Thompson and Mary Jean were parent to Brooks. Brooks and his older brother Craig (formerly names James and john Ray) become adopted to Newt Thompson and kept them as his sons for many many years. Under Newt and Mary Jeans's circles of care, they gave a high rise for some of the best of experience. Skiing was one of those. Newt was an Olympic Champions training coach and made sure that 'Papa' was good enough to win national downhill ski competions with speads arround 80 mph! Grandma had actually met Newt Thompson on a ski run that they made a day ski-date out of. Much later in life Newt and Mary Jean were separated, but Mary still made sure that we as her son and grandchildren got plenty of skiing experience. One of the most memorable events ever was that of the resort near Tahoe Lake [reseort name?] where she and all of Brooks and Bonnies family went skiing for the day. it was there she paid for real beginners training and of which took most of the day for me to learn. I gain a great deal of confidence because of that. Late on, with ski trips with Papa, he helped me refine the art and sport so I could do mogules, steep swooping carves, and jumping- to some extent.

to be continued...Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4034070283331513885.post-64779261258764695482008-12-28T13:52:00.000-08:002008-12-28T14:08:44.060-08:00California and the early yearsI have visted about every last part of California as I lived 8 years of my childhood there with my beginning family. If greater aspiration and greater love for self and eachother can be given, then still revere I it to God; to deem all souls and life concieved by it and every purpose-driven conscience a follower thereof.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4034070283331513885.post-6626232669467875412008-12-25T00:59:00.000-08:002008-12-28T14:10:20.052-08:00We SingOur Family does a spectacular show of Choir. We sing many hymns, but for the season we are swinging up for Carol of the Bells, Angels We have Heard on High, Ring our Wild Bells, and Away in a Manger. We think we should get a recording because it just sounds so good, but the real fun and joy is just being able to know the song and sing it together beautifully.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4034070283331513885.post-81544575445308205682008-12-20T22:46:00.001-08:002008-12-25T01:26:04.902-08:00Baby baby!- and Christmas shoppingMy brother Brooks Lee and I visited my sister Auralee and her new little baby today. he is amazingly strong and healthy looking. So Glad! Auralee was thinking to name him Josiah Sage Briney. She liked the naem Josiah because it was the name of the 8 year old King from tyrannical parents before him, who then came to search for goodness and wisdom and came to find about God. The young King repented and later reformed all of Israel by his wisdom. Sage was meant to refer to"Wise man" and was considered because Auralee felt impressed by an already pre-existing wisdom of inteligence given to this new one.

I then visited Claus jonsson for a while who lives near by Auralee's new place and then Brooks Lee and I later ate a pizza together and finished our Christmas shopping for the while... We might not be done with it all though. WE really buy ourselves half of what WE want for Christmas- and get it indirectly back later because we know it will be shared.Unknownnoreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4034070283331513885.post-75769545621943327032008-12-19T14:02:00.000-08:002009-01-06T21:57:16.113-08:00FulfillmentTo teach is the fulfilment of your understanding.
Prove me wrong, and I shall be here to learn.

-Salem ThompsonUnknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4034070283331513885.post-39994672996470144052008-12-18T17:44:00.001-08:002008-12-18T20:33:21.122-08:00Blogger to FacebookOK. It was full of applied calculus and equations with foreign variables of sorts- and a large field project to do ontop of it all. My field presentation will be presented at Westminister College in February for Undergraduate Research coluqium of applid hydrogeology.
