A Worldwide Landmark

Some times it may be hard to believe you have found something that really could help change the world- for the better. But God provides things to those that seek for the answers.

I have received an idea that has taken time to evolve into something that makes even remote sense, but it has at last become clear to my mind. I have sent the past six month obsessing over an idea that can help the world as far as maertial exploitation, consumerism, ans waste has its hackle with recycling obstacles.

A new program has been set up on Microsoft PowerPoint tha will soon be made into a film production. I go into depth touching upon flaws in the recycling industry and how it can be made into a real-to-life fully functioning industry that promotes all recycling and reuse in every field of material products. If this can get off the ground I would consider it the greatest world acheivement in economics, resource management, sustainable development, and care for our earth in accepting our human presence upon it.

Today is the day I show my first small appearance to a small audience who are of interest to get a grant to make the film production for this program.

Mom Enters the Ring

So when the rest of you bloggers wake up (we finished 3:30 am) you can know that we have been diligently making an effort to stay in touch with you all.

I had the most fun trying to get a picture for mom posted up.  I still have yet to see if it sticks.

An incident--- a while ago now

Fun story:

ON the freeway
Behind a truckload of store goods
A strap is lose
And a large package
Falls and tumbles along the road
I swerve a little to miss it
As it settles between two lanes.

I speed up a bit and wave
The driver that he lost something.
He starts to pull over.

I think---
Maybe tha package back there is still good
It had toilet paper in it.
IfI don't succeed to return it,
We could all use a little more.

So I turn out at the next exit.
And go up, off, around, and down again to find
Where it went.

It was all over the freeway for a hundred yards.
What a sight.

So I wait, and wait, and then

I have to wait some more

It all aby my silly NEW used car.

$1200.00 for a nice used green Dodge plymouth neon '96. All too similar from my former desolated car except that this has an auto transmission.

$1,400.00 in car repairs for silly stuff. It's what you could expect....

It will take $300 more to get it legal to drive again. I took my chances and made it a few days.

$130 towing ticket. (I was going to get it a licence plate!!)

Now I am waiting to get money so I can drive it again. Till then- it stay's home and I go to school with bright-minded Brooks Lee and his ancient (still working) nissan sentra.

A learning experience.

Grandmother and Salem

I have been blessed to live all my life and still have an honest to goodness incredible Grandmother at my side in life: Grandmother Mary Jean Thompson

Grandmother has been committed to Oregon Territory and the land of Salem and Portland for most as long as I remember except for some number of years in Reno, Nevada. Grandmother had the great futune of being one to weigh heavily upon my very own name, and I am ever glad that she had. Between Book of Mormon and Biblical characters and meanings, I may have been named Moroni ---[Something]--- Thompson. Mary Jean had the foresight to comprehend what so many others in todays world view would only find odd or an opportinity for ridicule and hoped that my name would be different. Living in Salem, the capital of Oregon, was excited when mother had my name fit perfect: Salem Moroni Thompson. For influence great or small, I am gald that Grandmother's hopes were found. My many thanks to you and mother as I have never regreted the name and feel it to give me something as a meaning to live for in life.

Naming, however, has only been the beginning of a long string of influence and development for me and my family under her son, and my father, Brooks Thompson. For a long part of life, Newt Thompson and Mary Jean were parent to Brooks. Brooks and his older brother Craig (formerly names James and john Ray) become adopted to Newt Thompson and kept them as his sons for many many years. Under Newt and Mary Jeans's circles of care, they gave a high rise for some of the best of experience. Skiing was one of those. Newt was an Olympic Champions training coach and made sure that 'Papa' was good enough to win national downhill ski competions with speads arround 80 mph! Grandma had actually met Newt Thompson on a ski run that they made a day ski-date out of. Much later in life Newt and Mary Jean were separated, but Mary still made sure that we as her son and grandchildren got plenty of skiing experience. One of the most memorable events ever was that of the resort near Tahoe Lake [reseort name?] where she and all of Brooks and Bonnies family went skiing for the day. it was there she paid for real beginners training and of which took most of the day for me to learn. I gain a great deal of confidence because of that. Late on, with ski trips with Papa, he helped me refine the art and sport so I could do mogules, steep swooping carves, and jumping- to some extent.

to be continued...

California and the early years

I have visted about every last part of California as I lived 8 years of my childhood there with my beginning family. We accompanied my father Brooks there as he served the Marines as a Lieutenant and to become a Doctor.

Here is where I have been in California:

Shasta, Sacremento, Sanfrancisco, Klamath River, Susanville, Forks of Salmon, and a few other places too.

We lived and visited many places along the Nevada areas of Reno, Carson City, and Lake Tahoe areas too.

Family

Our parents are Brooks and Bonnie Thompson. We all all VERY blond and blue eyed. I am 24 (25 in February), single, and am second eldest after my sister Katherine.

Here is the rest of us:
Sister Katherine 26, married to Keith Jessop, mother or two, and a Medical Doctor in anesthesiology; she loves to blog, watch foot ball, and do things with family. Extremely outgoing, accomplished, and opinionated with good reasoning.

Sister Auralee 21 married married to Drew Briney, mother of one and due for another in the next month. She is half way through college in auto mechanics but doesn't think she may use it much. She does house cleaning mostly right now. Very timid, gentle, kind and considerate.

Brother Brooks 19 , single and is also at UVU to be a commercial/private airplane pilot; and is an amazing dancer of all types. He like air-soft, robotic engineering interests, and razer-boarding. Patient, seldom argues, cheerful and helps out a lot.

Sister Mercy 17 - very beautiful- she is a regional gold medal winner of theatrics, excellent dancer, and she plays the piano. She's a friend magnet too, but we later found out about half of them only liked her as a step to get to attractive Brooks Lee. Mercy is expressive and full of spirit and hungers for attention.

Brother Christian 15 an amazing gentleman and is an interstate regional gold medal winner of theatrics, dancer, and plays the trumpet and does amazing pencil art work. He is strong, gentleman-like, and compassionate.

Brother David, 13 does piano and straight A student at school. he is a fabulous cook and know how to fish well. David is patient, contemplative, and quiet, but loves things of raw humor.

Sisters Galilee 7, Grace 5, and Spring 2- kind, gentle and cute 24-7. These girls our our trio of blonds and love to tea party a lot, play dress-up, and read books.
